AERO 2025 organisers are on cloud nine after AERO last week proved a spectacular success, labeling the exhibition the "best ever".

AERO 2025 was held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from 9-12 April, and is billed every year as the largest general aviation expo in the world.

This year, AERO featured 760 exhibitors, who showcased 328 aircraft and attracted 32,100 visitors from 80 countries.

“AERO 2025 met all expectations and exceeded many," said AERO show director Tobias Bretzel. "The exhibitors presented a large number of innovations and premieres and reported strong business deals.

"The mood in the industry and among the audience was excellent. Without exaggerating, I can say that this was the best AERO ever, and the great result is spurring us to take AERO 2026 to the next level.

"To this end, we will integrate further parts of the adjacent airport area into the trade show."

AERO 2025 also featured a dedicated 2000-sqm business aviation hub for the first time, to enhance what has been described as the largest line-up of business aircraft at any trade fair in Europe.

“AERO 2025 was a precision landing," said Stefan Reisinger, CEO of organizer fairnamic GmbH. "We have been able to expand our expertise and relevance.

"The new trade fair concept with the Business Aviation Show Hub has been a stunning success.”

AERO 2025 was held in 12 large halls and across four external precincts adjacent to the runway at Friedrichshafen. Exhibitions included business jets, SETPs, twins, singles, light sport aircraft, recreational aircraft, helicopters, sailplanes, software and avionics innovations, UAVs, and renewable and sustainable energy developments.

The AERO brand has expanded beyond Europe, with AERO South Africa scheduled for Lanseria International Airport in South Africa 25-27 June 2025, followed by AERO Asia in Zhuhai, China, from 6-9 November 2025.

The 2026 edition of AERO Friedrichshafen is scheduled for 22-25 April.
