Hawker Pacific will tour a Diamond DA62 twin around Australia in August-September this year.
The tour is expected to cover both the eastern seaboard and Perth.
Hawker Pacific Sales Executive Luke Smith told Australian Flying the seven-seat twin aircraft was highly anticipated by both private owners and charter operators.
"It's not a Chieftain replacement," he said, "but you can run it at 50% of the cost of a Beech Baron and similar to the cost of running a Cirrus SR22."
Smith believes that will be particularly attractive to companies looking to offer VIP charter in twins, and will be a good alternative to buying legacy airframes such as Cessna 340s.
The DA62 boasts a 180-hp Austro AE300 turbo-diesel on each wing, which maintains power all the way to 9000 feet and has a cruise speed of 178 kTAS at 58 lph combined.
Tour dates, times and locations are expected to be released sometime in July.
