The Australian Women Pilots Association (AWPA) has opened registrations for their 75th anniversary conference this coming May.

The conference, which is expected to draw women pilots and aviation professionals from all over Australia, is scheduled for the coastal town of Busselton in WA from 30 April to 4 May.

With a theme of "Celebrating our Past, Embracing our Future", the conference will honour 75 years of the AWPA and achievements of women in aviation, whilst also focusing on the role of the AWPA and women in aviation in the future.

“This year’s conference is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible progress we’ve made as women in aviation over the last 75 years," said AWPA WA president and 2025 conference convener Kay Barker.

“Busselton’s warm hospitality and stunning backdrop will make it the perfect location for professional development and connecting with peers.

“We encourage all our members and women with an interest in aviation to register early and join us for this milestone event.”

One of the key features of the 2025 conference is a navigation trial on Thursday 1 May that will pit the skills of AWPA members against those of the New Zealand Association of Women in Aviation.

The conference program also includes professional development and networking opportunities, an education day featuring inspiring speakers, an industry forum and a 75th anniversary party. An AWPA Annual General Meeting is also scheduled for the Saturday.

AWPA will also present around $120,000 in scholarships to help advance the careers of some members.

Conference details and the registration portal is on the AWPA website.
