CAE Oxford Aviation Academy has added a Beechcraft King Air C90GTx to its training fleet to be based in Melbourne, local agent Hawker Pacific announced today.
The aircraft is expected to enter service from 1 July and will join a King Air C90GTi that is currently being used for advanced flight training.
Mike Drinkall, General Manager CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Melbourne, said that new King Air would be a valuable addition to their fleet.
"We have been very impressed with the performance and reliability of our King Air C90GTi that we have been working quite hard over the past eight months in our high performance aircraft training program that we deliver to our cadets from China Eastern Airlines," he said.
"The new Beechcraft King Air C90GTx will be based at Moorabbin Airport from July 1st and will be a welcome and much needed addition to our growing business."

The C90GTx features composite winglets, increased gross weight and swept-blade turbofan propellers. The aircraft's dual aft body strakes enable a 20% shorter take-off distance and 10% shorter landing distances, better in flight stability and handling characteristics.
The C90GTx will cruise at 272 KTAS and has a maximum range of 1260 nm. It has a take-off distance of 605 m and a landing ground roll of 321 m.
