Australian national fly-in Ausfly has been postponed to April 2021 amid uncertainty over coronavirus restrictions.

Planned for Narromine in October this year, Ausfly stakeholders had been hoping the COVID-19 situation would allow the event to go ahead, but today were forced to reschedule the event.

"The Ausfly stakeholders comprising SAAA, AOPA, Narromine Gliding Club, Narromine Aero Club and the Narromine Shire Council met last Thursday to make a decision around the timing for our next AusFly event," a statement from Ausfly says.

"In light of COVID-19 and the surrounding uncertainty of the extent of lifting of the current restrictions and physical distancing rules, the decision was made to postpone Ausfly to April 2021."

As yet there has been no firm dates announced, but registrations for the event are expected to be open in January next year.

Ausfly was first held in 2012 at Narromine, with repeat events in 2013, 2015 and 2018-19.
