French manufacturer Daher has announced the TBM 910 as the newest member of its TBM business single engine turbo-prop aircraft range, succeeding the TBM 900.
Unveiled yesterday at the Sun 'n' Fun International Fly-in and Expo at Lakeland, Florida, Daher’s TBM 910 has the same range, performance and technical features as the TBM 900, but includes upgrades to the avionics and cockpit connectivity.
“Three words can describe the TBM 910: speed, readability and connectivity,” sais Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of the Daher Airplane Business Unit.
“The TBM 910 is just as fast as its predecessor in flight, while offering pilots quicker access to cockpit information, along with safety-enhancing guidance and improved readability.
Therefore, the TBM family of very fast turbo-prop continues to grow with the TBM 910 – an alternative to the high-end TBM 930 version.”
Among the key changes are a Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck, which succeeds the G1000 version on TBM 900s.The G1000Nxi’s state-of-the art processors provide a faster system boot-up and software loading, while also enabling the system to manage more aviation data and maps including visual approach plates.
Another feature is the improved cockpit connectivity, allowing wireless transfer of aviation databases from the Garmin Pilot app on a mobile device to the G1000 NXi system.
Customer deliveries will start after the aircraft is type-certified, which is expected to happen in the northern Spring.
More information on the TBM 910 is available on the Daher TBM website.
