Eve Air Mobility–a subsidiary of Embraer–this week unveiled the first full-scale prototype of their eVTOL aircraft.

Images released ahead of the Farnborough International Airshow reveal an eVTOL with eight propellers providing vertical lift and one pusher propeller providing forward motion, built at Embraer's test facility of Gaviao Peixoto, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The design also features fixed wings for cruising that don't change position in flight, and dual electric motors to power the pusher propeller. The original concept introduced to the public three years ago showed twin high-mounted pusher propellers.

"Our global team of engineers have shown exceptional dedication and expertise to successfully assemble our first full-scale eVTOL prototype," said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Air Mobility.

"This is a significant milestone that underscores our commitment to safety, accessibility and innovation. As we now turn our attention toward the preparation of a rigorous testing campaign, we are not just creating an aircraft, we're building a comprehensive ecosystem of solutions that will shape the future of the advanced air mobility industry."

Eve is holding letters of intent for 2900 eVTOLs, and in the past has signed agreements with Australian companies Nautilus Aviation, Sydney Seaplanes and Microflite.

Eve's eVTOL is scheduled to enter service in 2026.
