The Australian Division of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and Australian Flying have opened the nominations for the 2017 Wings Awards.
The Wings Awards recognise achievement and contribution to general aviation in four categories:
- Col Pay Award for a Lifetime of Service to General Aviation
- Aero Club of the Year
- Flying Training Organisation of the Year
- Flying Instructor of the Year.
Nominations will close on 1 July 2017, with all submissions reviewed by the judging panel before the winners are announced in October.
The judging panel includes Andrew Drysdale and Doug Nancarrow from the RAeS, well-known aviation journalist Shelley Ross and editor of Australian Flying Steve Hitchen.
