Piper Aircraft announced yesterday that had delivered 20% more aircraft in 2024, and set a new 23-year high.

The Vero Beach factory rolled-out 291 new Pipers of all models, the best production figures since 2001, and an increase of 46 airframes over 2023.

In July last year, the company predicted a figure of 300 airframes and a growth of 22% for the year.

Piper has attributed the result to the launch of the new M700 Fury SETP and rising demand for the diesel-burning Archer DX.

“Our continued growth, both domestically and internationally, is a testament to the strength of our product lineup and the trust our customers place in Piper," said John Calcagno, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft.

"The increase in international deliveries highlights Piper’s expanding global footprint and the growing appeal of our aircraft worldwide.

“With the successful introduction of the M700 FURY and tremendous growth in Archer DX trainer sales, 2024 was a milestone year for our company, with the highest delivery count in well over two decades.”

Piper shipped 46 new M700s after its February 2024 launch, and delivered 76% more aircraft internationally compared to 2023. Domestic US sales were up 7%.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) is due to release the Q4 2024 shipment figures for all makes next week, which are expected to show further growth and recovery from the COVID-19 downturn.
