Toll Group announced today that it had won a contract to provide aviation services to the South Australian government, including the State Police, Ambulance and Rescue Aviation Services.

During the 15-year contract, Toll will provide a fleet of eight aircraft–both fixed-wing and rotary-wing–to provide services including law enforcement, SAR and medical transport.

The Toll Aviation fleet will include two Bell 429s, a Pilatus PC-12NG and a Cessna Grand Caravan to South Australia Police, and three Leonardo AW139s and a second PC-12NG for SA Ambulance Service MedSTAR.

Colin Gunn, General Manager of Toll Aviation said, “We are extremely honoured to provide critical aviation services that strengthen the state’s emergency response and law enforcement teams and ensure the highest standards quality and safety of the services that South Australians need and deserve”.

Toll Group will also work with a range of expert subcontractors, including the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Australia/Northern Territory) and Gunggandji Aerospace to provide Airborne Law Enforcement (ALE), SAR and medical transport services.

Toll is expected to have initial operating capability for the fixed wing services in November next year, with the rotary operations coming on line in October 2027.
