The first sale of a DA20-C1 two-seat training aircraft within Australia and New Zealand has been made to an NZ flight training organisation.
Diamond Aircraft agent Hawker Pacific made the sale to Ardmore-based Eagle Flight Training, who will use it for training both local and overseas students.
Eagle's CEO Alexander Zapisetskiy says the DA20 is exactly what the school was looking for.
"We are very pleased with the purchase of the aircraft, which is undeniably one of the best and most popular two-seat trainers in the market," he explained. "We chose the DA20-C1 because of its modern technology, incredible fuel efficiency, and the glass cockpit makes it an overall superb training aircraft for new and experienced pilots.
"It’s perfect for our needs at Eagle Flight Training, and we are keen to order more Diamonds in the months ahead."
When announcing the news, Hawker Pacific Senior VP Tony Jones had this to say.
“We’re delighted that Eagle Flight Training has placed its trust in both Hawker Pacific and Diamond Aircraft for their aviation needs. The DA20-C1 is perfectly suited to flight training and regional flying, and the inaugural order reinforces not only the leadership of Diamond products but the stimulated market activity in the region.”
The DA20 has a 75% power cruise of 138 kts and is powered by a TCM 125 HP IO-240 engine. It is also available with Apsen avionics.
