This grand old lady is a throw back to World War II and the halcyon days of seaplanes. This is the only operational Martin Mars left in the world, now being flown as a water bomber in British Columbia. This one, Hawaii Mars, was one of only six built, and was delivered to the US Navy on April 23, 1946. The original engines were 2500 HP Wright Cyclones.
