Excellent footage of a replica Travel Air Type R Mystery Ship. The originals were built for air racing and were the first type to beat military aircraft in a race. With a huge radial up the front, there's not a whole lot of vision over the nose. The Type R was called the Mystery Ship because of the lengths the company went to to conceal its existence before the 1929 air race season.
