It's hard enough to restore a DC3 when you've got a full workshop around you and a roof over your head, so spare a thought for this team who had to do substantial repairs to DC3T Lidia where she crashed ... in Antarctica! Lidia hit a snow drift on the take-off roll at a glacier, tearing the front off and destroying the props. Rather than abandon her, these people came back to get her out. It's a bit long at 16 minutes, but if you can spare the time, this is a great story of ingenuity, sweat and determination triumphing over the elements. Thanks to Ray Morris for this link.
