Red Baron Flight Training has officially opened its new base at Bankstown Airport.
Previously located close to the Bankstown Airport passenger terminal, Red Baron Flight Training (RBFT) will now operate out of large modern premises on the corner of Marion and Birch Streets.
The premises was formally the home of Aerospace Aviation, a pilot training academy Australian Flying has long had a close association with over the years, who sadly went into administration and were forced to close their doors earlier this year.
The newly renovated training facility features a dedicated simulator room, a comfortable student lounge area and state of the art briefing facilities. The premises is surrounded by a relaxed outdoor BBQ setting overlooking the Red Baron Flight Training fleet of training aircraft, which includes the likes of Alphas, Pitts Specials and the Red Bull Extra 200. Red Baron Flight Training’s impressive blue and red aerobatic aircraft would’ve undoubtedly caught the eye of most pilots who frequent Bankstown Airport.

Since 1983, graduates of RBFT have joined the airlines, the RAAF and the ranks of aerobatic champions, and the move to the new facilities will enable RBFT to accomodate a greater number of students.
Under new management since May 2005, RBFT offers a range of pilot training courses, from General Flight Progress Test (GFPT) through to Commercial Pilot License (CPL). The school also run courses in Advanced Aircraft Control (AAC), Emergency Manoeuvre Training (EMT), and Aerobatics to advanced levels.
