The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified Flight Design's latest LSA offering, the CTLSi.
The CTLSi are fitted with a fuel-injected Rotax 912iS engine developing 100 hp, an advanced Dynon three‐screen HDX avionics suite and autopilot with level button.
“This update was very demanding technically as it encompassed several significant updates to the aircraft, including the Dynon HDX screens, new noise tests and many associated systems,” said Flight Design Managing Director Daniel Guenther. “Our team was working very hard to complete this as demand for the 912iS fuel injected model is strong."
The first two aircraft were scheduled to be delivered immediately from the Flight Design facility at Eisenach‐EDGE airport.
Christophe Briand, Owner of Flight Design France, said he thought the CTLSi would be a great option for both training and private operations.
“I am very pleased to see this new option for private owners, flight Schools and flying clubs” he said. “We see many new applications where a customer would want to use an established and dependable aircraft with a well‐known company behind it.”
Flight Design's CT range has been in production since 1997, with more than 900 airframes in service around the world.
