Avionics manufacturer Microair has released a new range of avionics for experimental, recreational and light sport aircraft (LSA).

Known as the T3000 skySuite, the system is a digital 79 mm display that enables the pilot to select from more than 20 instrument faces by swiping on the display screen.

Among the display faces available are:

  • AH
  • Altimeter
  • ASI
  • DG
  • turn co-ordinator
  • HSI
  • VSI comms.

Included in the system are a 8.33 kHz/25 kHZ VHF comm, a Mode S transponder with ADS-B In and Out, a GNSS position source and AHRS.

The T3000 also contains a 90-minute battery back-up and customisable comm audio control. The display screen is high-resolution and can be read in sunlight.

T3000 skySuite retails for $6990 plus tax.

In conjunction with the T3000, Microair has also developed a separate digital pitot-static probe that delivers real-time data and can replace any AN5812 probe.

It features an optional 120 W de-icing heater, triple-redundant sensors and operates up to FL550 and 210 knots. It operates on 11-30VDC and can be installed as a stand-alone component, or integrated into the T3000 avionics system.

Microair's T3000 is on display in the Jabiru tent at the Australian International Airshow all week.
