Kudos to this pilot, who recognised his mistake and has posted in for all the world to see. He does what so many of us have done before: flown to the light patch of sky believing the weather must be better over there. When he does, he executes the correct recovery procedure, but has he left it too late? With the airport behind him rapidly closing, he comes very close to being stranded with nowhere to go and IMC descending all around him.
