The Shuttleworth Collection in the UK rolled out these three classic 1930s racers at Old Warden last month. The DH.88 Comet leads a couple of Percival Mew Gulls around the sky in front of a gathering (remember gatherings?). The Comet was powered by two 230-hp Gipsy Six motors and the Gulls by 165-hp Napier Javelins. They both ultra-rare, with only six Gulls and five Comets ever being built. The Mew Gull was, of course, designed by Australian Aviation Hall of Fame member Edgar Percival. Enjoy these beautiful classics that are rapidly approaching 100 years old.
