Now this is an epic effort! In 2005, a pilot flying a Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) AS350 Squirrel landed on the summit of Mount Everest and stayed there for nearly four minutes. This made it the highest landing and take-off ever made. Naturally, the record will sit forever; it can be equalled, but never broken. The traditional extreme winds across the peak of Everest must have had the pilots on his toes the whole time!
