Congrats to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society, which has added a Convair 440 to its already impressive collection of aircraft. This example was donated by a South African transport mogul who couldn't bear to see it cut up scrap. It has been painted in TAA period colours and was flown home to Albion Park via Seychelles, Bali and Darwin. A great effort all around, and a very welcome addition to a collection that preserves Australia's aviation heritage.
