This year's Reno Air Racing featured the sport of STOL Drag. This is where you take a short-take-off and landing (STOL) aeroplane and match race it with another one to see who can fly the fastest and land the slowest. Going hell-for-leather at the drop of the flag, STOL racers have to then lose enough speed to land and spin around to head back to the start line. How do you lose all that speed to get slow enough to land? Very aggressive use of the rudder. It looks like fun to me!
