The International School of Aviation Australia (ISAA) is holding their annual Open Day on Sunday May 29.

At the event, to be held at ISAA’s Cessnock Airport base in the Hunter Valley, the flying school will offer free trial instructional flights to potential students, which it says will give them valuable insight into what the ISAA programs involve.

Dash 8 and aerobatic pilots will be guest speakers at the event, sharing their career experiences and encouraging aspiring pilots to achieve their dreams. ISAA staff including Certified Flight Instructors, Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and expert aviation lecturers will be there chatting to students about all things aviation and answering their questions.

ISAA Business Manager Nerrin Warr is expecting a big turn out on the day.

“With our exciting special guest speakers and the support we’ve received from the local community, we’re expecting the 2011 ISAA Open Day to be a lot of fun and a huge success,” she anticipates.

The local community is sharing in ISAA’s Open Day, with the Cessnock branch of the Lions Club holding a luncheon at the event to help raise funds for local initiatives.

Established in 1978 as Avondale School of Aviation at Cessnock, ISAA has more than 30
years of experience and is highly respected within the national and international aviation industry.
