South Australian academy Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) has added two new Diamond DA40 XLTs to its fleet.

Damond's Australian agent Utility Air said the deal was finalised last year with the aircraft recently delivered.

Pine Pinaar, CEO of FTA, expressed his enthusiasm for the arrival of the new aircraft.

"These Diamond DA40XLT aircraft represent a significant addition to our training fleet of 74 aircraft," he said.

"Their modern features and exceptional performance will enable our students to train in a superior learning environment, preparing them for successful careers in aviation."

Stephen Pembro, Managing Director of Utility Air, said the new aircraft would enhance FTA's training program.

"We are delighted to deliver these two Diamond DA40XLT aircraft to Flight Training Adelaide," he said. "As a trusted partner, we are proud to contribute to FTA's mission of providing exceptional pilot training experiences.

"These aircraft, with their innovative technology and exceptional performance, will undoubtedly elevate their training programs to new heights."

The DA40 XLTs are fitted with Garmin G1000 NXI avionics.

FTA trains pilots for both fixed-wing and helicopter careers out of Parafield Airport and is also the training provider for the Qantas Group Pilot Academy at Wellcamp Airport in Queensland.
