The coffers of aviation charity Angel Flight have been boosted by $600,000 after the successful raffle of an SR22.

Organised and run in conjunction with Your Jet Life, the raffle was drawn at Bankstown in June, with the winner an anonymous aviator from Western Australia.

The raffle consisted of 500,000 tickets at $15 each, with the proceeds available to the charity established after a mandatory audit.

Angel Flight director Marjorie Pagani said the charity would put the money to good use for people in regional Australia.

"Angel Flight is thrilled with the Your Jet Life lottery proceeds, and we are very much looking forward to the next series already underway by our great friends and supporters.

"These funds will be earmarked for the purchase of high performance small jets, dedicated firstly to carrying health professionals to remote areas, in conjunction with our partners Ochre Medical, Bush Kids Qld, and Heart Kids Australia, and also to back up our core service of flying people of all ages across Australia, to access medical care in the major cities."

Further raffles are already underway with a Robinson R44 Raven II worth $1.2 million and a luxury city getaway valued at $285,500 as prizes.

Your Jet Life was established last year by the owners of aviation software solutions company Monarc Global, with the dedicated purpose of raising funds for Angel Flight.
