Sydney Metro Airports has announced it is now offering a 50 per cent discount to new aircraft choosing to make Bankstown Airport its home base.
The move by Sydney Metro Airports, which owns and operates both Bankstown and Camden Airports in the Sydney basin, is aimed at supporting and encouraging new General Aviation operators and aircraft owners to base their aircraft and operations at the airport.
Sydney Metro Airports is offering a two year 50 per cent discount to all new aircraft that permanently base themselves at Bankstown between now and March 31 2011.
"We are serious about supporting the General Aviation industry," Sydney Metro Airports CEO Colin Grove said. "This initiative is part of a dedicated campaign to market the benefits of the airport and aims to support General Aviation operators through flow-on economic activity. This parking discount is an excellent opportunity for operators to derive operational savings.
"We encourage any aircraft owners who have been considering the move to a metropolitan base to consider the financial rewards of our parking discount, as well as the myriad of associated benefits which come from being based at Bankstown Airport such as access to leading maintenance and avionics companies, training schools, refuelling and assorted aircraft suppliers."
The following provisions apply: - Available to aircraft with a MTOW below 10,000kg; - Maximum discount of two years from commencement; - Payment must be made in full and in advance each year; - Registered operators are liable for aeronautical charges; and - Current aircraft based on Bankstown Airport are not eligible.
The offer is non-transferable and non-refundable and Bankstown Airport’s Conditions of Use apply.
