Swiss aviation timepiece designer Breitling has announced two new additions to its product line.
The first new Breitling models is the Navitimer Caliber 01 – the first Navitimer with a 100 per cent in-house made chronograph movement. Issued in 2000-piece steel and 200-piece red gold editions, the limited series Navitimer Caliber 01 is distinguished by its slightly broader diameter and its transparent caseback providing clear views of its high-performance ‘motor’.
The Caliber 01 is the first movement entirely developed and produced in the Breitling workshops. It was first used to power an exclusive new version of the popular Chronomat model, duly named Chronomat 01.
An eagerly anticipated model among devotees of the brand, Breitling believes the Navitimer Caliber 01 will become a genuine collector’s item.
The second new timepiece added to the famed Breitling line extends the ‘Breitling for Bentley’ range – a cross-promotion collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker and the British car manufacturer. Coinciding with Bentley’s launch of its new Continental GT coupé, Breitling has unveiled an exclusive version of its Bentley GMT chronograph.
Issued in a 1000-piece worldwide edition, this limited series is distinguished by its inner bezel and rubber strap clad in the famous British Racing Green colour characteristic of the finest English racing cars.
Equipped with a multiple timezone display system, Breitling says the new Bentley GMT chronograph proudly serves as an international ambassador of the time-honoured British automobile tradition.
