The Australian Division of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Australian Flying have published the judging criteria for the inaugural WINGS Awards.
The awards have been established to recognise excellence and achievement in general aviation in Australia.
There will be five categories for public nomination:

- Aero Club of the Year
- Flying Training Organisation of the Year
- Flying Instructor of the Year
- Best GA Airport
- Service to GA in Australia
The awards for Lifetime Achievement in GA, Aircraft of the Year and Product Innovation of the Year are not open for public nomination and will awarded by an expert panel of judges.
Nominations will open soon and the winners announced in the September-October issue of Australian Flying.
