Duxford this year featured a Balbo of WWII-era fighters in a mass formation reminiscent of the Big Wings put up during the Battle of Britain. The sound of so many Merlins and the sight of a formation of prop-driven fighters this size is not something that has happened a lot in the past 60 years. Reach for the volume control, crank it up.
