The word "unique" is most often used wrongly nowadays, but not when it's applied to the Victa Aircruiser. This is genuinely the only one of its type ever built, and is still going strong 60 years later. Victa type-certified this four-seater with the intent of putting it into production, but instead closed its aviation division completely. Its design went on to form the foundations of the CT-4 Airtrainer in NZ, but the Aircruiser itself became an only child. It remains in service as a flying artifact of Australian aviation history.
